How to stop a mental shift?

Question

Whenever I shift, I'm pretty much S.O.L until it goes away - and sometimes that can take a week or more. Right now I feel a Sunny m-shift coming, and now is NOT a good time. Is there a way to prevent it? This information would be useful for shifts of my other kintypes as well.

Within isolation comes self-discovery.
